The solution automatically recommends the optimal route, driver, tractor and trailer based on hours of service, availability, compliance, seniority and service needs.
To solve your transportation optimization challenges, Fleet Management gives you strong feature sets for two processes—Shipment Planning and Dispatch Re-Optimization:
- Shipment Planning is designed to create efficient loads within the scheduling process and recommend resources for those loads. The resulting plans, which encompass driver, tractor and trailer assignments, maximize utilization of these resources while minimizing transportation costs.
- Dispatch Re-Optimization continuously updates resource assignments with the latest information on resources and loads.
Both processes use the same dispatch optimization model to create the most efficient run combination for the day. If fleet resources are insufficient, Shipment Planning will issue a warning and display how much hired resources are needed. Dispatch Re-Optimization will alert you if initial fleet resources are no longer available.
